The University Relations Office (URO) of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, has convened a strategic meeting aimed at reviewing operational priorities and strengthening delivery.
Chaired by the University Relations Officer, Dr. Daniel Norris Bekoe, the session brought together all URO staff for a reflective and forward-looking engagement.
The meeting focused on enhancing the Office’s mandate of promoting the university’s image through effective communication, protocol, and public engagement.
He emphasized the need to balance event-based reportage with enterprise and feature storytelling to deepen audience engagement across KNUST’s digital platforms.
Touching on institutional roles, Dr. Bekoe called for greater synergy among teams and encouraged experienced Masters of Ceremonies (MCs) within the Office to mentor emerging colleagues, ensuring continuity and a robust talent pool to serve the university.
To improve coordination, he proposed regular planning meetings among sectional heads, particularly ahead of major events.
He also urged staff to maintain high editorial standards to enrich coverage and broaden impact.
Dr. Bekoe commended the team for their dedication and professionalism, noting that such internal dialogues are essential for resolving operational challenges and fostering cohesion.
He encouraged the team to work collaboratively as “one big family,” united in purpose to project the university’s image with excellence. He praised the openness of discussions and reaffirmed his confidence in the team’s ability to deliver with distinction.
